NF EAST Youth Innovation Program

North Forge East partnered with an International school to launch a two week youth innovation program. Students had the opportunity to explore different innovation based topics during the program to develop their creativity and innovation capacity. The contents of the program include a North Forge Fab Lab tour to get exposure to different machines for product prototyping such as 3D Printers, laser printers, metal machines, craft machines, CNC wood machines, robotic training & programing, outdoor activities, entrepreneurship & business workshops, and team projects. During the program, students were able to gain an understanding of our Canadian culture, exchanged ideas, developed problem solving skill sets, and enjoyed Canadian style outdoor activities. During the program Blair Skinner, North Forge East board member and Pinawa Mayor, and Shane Li, North Forge East President, organized the program and attended the closing ceremony of the program.

NF EAST HK – Canada Entrepreneurship Program

In June 2019, North Forge East and the Pinawa Community Development Corporation partnered with University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business to host a student exchange with China’s Hong Kong Community College, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Lingnan University.
